Below you can test your Internet providers speed to a UK datacenter

Having a Download speed of 2.4 MB or higher is recommended
and upload speed of  at least 0.35 MB or higher is essential to run our IPTV system
This is not much by today's standards and most ISP will have no trouble in providing this.

A ping of under 300 is also helpful, this is your response time in milliseconds

If your ISP is falling under the above recommendations, calling them with the data  you now have can often help them to improve your service.
